Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive

November 1st - December 5th

Joe Bornstein helped to transform the social services and nonprofit landscape across Southern Maine. The Law Offices of Joe Bornstein have provided funding and raised awareness for numerous causes and initiatives over the years. The JCA’s Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive aims to honor his legacy while maintaining the commitment he made to serve the community.

Make a Donation

Your donation helps us purchase boots during the biggest sales of the year (Black Friday and Cyber Monday). This year, we're looking to raise $5,000 in order to fulfill our goal of providing boots for 6 schools.

Sort and Share

Groups of volunteers sign up to organize boots at the JCA. After being sorted, boots are delivered to schools and handed out to the kids who need them most!

Delivery

This year, nine schools will be participating in the Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive. We are so thankful for their help in identifying students in need and helping distribute boots to them.

There is a significant need for warm winter boots among children in Maine. Michael Klahr Jewish Family Services (MKJFS), in partnership with the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine (JCA), is proud to once again host the Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive, providing vital support to children in our community.

We are calling on our community to participate by making a monetary donation, which will allow us to then purchase boots. All boots will be compiled at the JCA and distributed by volunteers to local schools every week.
