Our Story
The Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) of Southern Maine has long been a cornerstone of Jewish life in the region, growing and evolving to meet the changing needs of the community.
The roots of the JCA stretch back to the early 20th century, when Jewish immigrants arrived in Maine seeking new opportunities while preserving their traditions. Small but resilient, the Jewish community in Southern Maine established social groups, religious institutions, and charitable organizations to support one another. Over time, these efforts led to the formation of several key institutions, including a local Jewish Federation, a Jewish Community Center (JCC), and Jewish Family Services.
כיום, JCA הוא ארגון ללא מטרות רווח תוסס ומכיל המשמש כמרכז לחיים יהודיים בדרום מיין. עם צוות מסור, מתנדבים נלהבים ושיתופי פעולה קהילתיים חזקים, אנו ממשיכים להציע תוכניות חינוכיות, אירועי תרבות ושירותים חברתיים המעשירים חיים ומקרבים אנשים.
