Life & Legacy

"As my ancestors planted for me, so do I plant for those who will come after me."

Building a strong and sustainable future for Jewish communities in Maine and around the world

The JCA is partnering with local synagogues to bring legacy giving to our community!

The JCA was selected by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) to assist in developing a culture of legacy giving in Southern Maine. Over the last nine years, HGF has allocated $30 million for training and support, resulting in over $1 billion in legacy support in sixty-three communities in North America.

We couldn't be more pleased to have Congregation Bet Ha’am and Etz Chaim Synagogue as the JCA's partners in this effort to bring the Life and Legacy training program here to Southern Maine, as we work together toward a shared vision of building a strong and sustainable future for our local Jewish community. Collectively, we look forward to providing opportunities for our forward-thinking community to demonstrate their passion and commitment through after-lifetime gifts.
