Meet Our New PJ Library Ambassadors

Back in July, the JCA and PJ Library of Southern Maine received word that we had been awarded an $8000 grant to launch PJ Library Ambassadors Program.

We are now so pleased to introduce our new PJ Library of Southern Maine Ambassadors for York County and the Bath/Brunswick areas!

Sheila Nesis

PJ Library Ambassador for York County

Dear PJ Library families:

My name is Sheila Nesis, and I’m a Cantor. I recently relocated with my husband and young children to Portland, Maine, to enjoy being closer to family while raising our young children! For the past five years, I served Temple Sinai in Denver, Colorado as their senior Cantor. Prior to that, I served Temple Israel of NYC and congregations in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas in Arizona. I’m excited to join the PJ Library family as an ambassador, and to get to know the community in Maine! As a cantor and educator, I have a bulk of experience in helping young families to connect to Judaism in ways that are meaningful and unique to them, and in creating opportunities for young families to connect to each other. My love for Judaism certainly comes through in music, song and storytelling, and I hope to share this with you all! I also look forward to connecting with you over a cup of coffee or tea, and together planning gatherings and experiences that connect you to one another!

You will be hearing from me soon. In the meantime, please drop a line if you would like to connect with me at

Jenna Golub-Sinclair
PJ Library Ambassador for Bath/Brunswick

A native of Kennebunkport, Maine and a life long member of Bet Ha’am synagogue, Jenna earned a degree in social work at Skidmore College. After selling her small business in 2012 she worked as a social worker at Two Bridges Regional Jail until leaving in 2018 to raise her now two year old twin boys. She and her family reside in a hundred year old Greek Revival house in Bath. Jenna is excited about this opportunity with PJ Library to meet new people.

She looks forward to connecting and would love to hear from you — please be in touch with Jenna at
