Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive 2022 Results Are In!
The 3rd annual Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive wrapped up earlier this month and we are so proud to announce that we have met our goal of providing over 500 pairs of winter boots for Maine kids!
The boots are currently being distributed to nine Portland-area schools and are going directly to students identified as needing proper winter footwear. The snow and dropping temperatures this week only helped to underscore what a big difference donations like these mean to students and their families.
We are so thankful for the response from our community and our volunteers, and especially for the donations from Portland Radio Group, Levey Day School, the Goldman Family Preschool, Temple Beth El, Congregation Bet Ha’am, and all the individuals who participated in this year’s drive. THANK YOU ALL!
A total of nine schools participated in the Joe Bornstein Winter Warmth Drive this year, and we are so thankful for their help in identifying students in need and helping distribute the boots to them!
