JCA COVID POLICY UPDATE 11.1.21

PROOF OF COVID VACCINATION & MASKING REQUIREMENT

Our commitment to community, and to the safety and well-being of our members, visitors and staff, frames everything we do. We are inspired by the Jewish value of pikuach nefesh (saving of a life) and our tradition that the preservation of human life takes precedence over other practices. The JCA Board has therefore decided to require proof of full vaccination to participate in our programs and special events.

  • Adults and children age 12+ must show proof of full vaccination in order to participate in or volunteer at in-person programs at our facility.

  • To show proof of vaccination, present your vaccine card, or a photo of your vaccine card. We will not retain copies of vaccination cards.

  • We do not accept negative COVID tests in lieu of vaccination cards.

  • Additionally, face masks must be worn indoors in all public spaces of the JCA by everyone age 2 and up, fully covering your nose and mouth at all times, regardless of vaccination status.

This policy is consistent with recommendations of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Public Health Association, and similar policies are being implemented by an increasing number of organizations and service providers locally and nationwide.

*JCA COVID policies are subject to change and will be informed by the latest public health and safety guidelines and directives from local, state, and federal authorities.

I’m interested in learning to ply mahjong. Do you have to participate both days, or if I only wanted to come one day is that OK?
Do I bring my proof of vaccination over ahead of time in order to register?
