TORAH CONVERSATIONS
An online weekly study group facilitated by Ellie Miller
Thursdays, 10:00 – 11:00 AM, starting Nov 2nd, 2023.
There will be no class on Nov. 23rd and 30th.
All participants must sign up by Wednesday, November 1st (including former attendees) to join the study group and receive the Zoom link. This is a free program.
We continue our journey through the the Torah, returning to where we left off in the book of Exodus (Chapter 33), and will engage in a close reading of the text. We will focus on language and structure along with the stories and values the text imparts.
This is a weekly Zoom gathering, informed by various translations of the Hebrew text and a variety of commentaries, ancient and modern. All are welcome to participate on a drop-in basis – no prior experience is necessary. A text of the Hebrew Bible is required – all translations are appropriate. The sessions will last one hour, with an opportunity to continue the discussion for an additional 15 minutes until 11:15 AM.
