A free documentary film streaming presented in partnership with the Maine Jewish Film Festival – In honor of Black History Month

Friday, Feb. 4th | 12PM, Noon – Sunday, Feb. 6th | 12AM, Midnight

Through interviews and archival footage, Shared Legacies tells the often forgotten story of the coalition and friendship between the Jewish and African-American communities during the Civil Rights Movement. The story is told through first and second-hand accounts of Holocaust survivors, members of the King family, and prominent political and religious figures.

A recorded discussion about the film with Barbara Merson and Colby history professor Robert Weisbrot will be sent to all ticket holders.

‘Compelling and powerful’ – In the Seats

This film will be available on the Eventive Platform. The screening is free, but you must reserve your ticket for access. This screening is only available in Maine (required by the film’s distributor). Tickets available to reserve on Friday, January 21.
