Join Ashley Flowers to celebrate the cycles of nature. In this New Moon/Rosh Chodesh Yoga Series, we’ll explore practices that connect us to the energy of the new moon. The new moon is the point in Judaism that marks the start of the new month, and in cultures and religions all over the world marks a point of both beginning and ending.
Connection lies at the core of yoga, so we will use this opportunity to connect with our own bodies and breath, to connect with each other, and to connect with the cycles of nature.
Each 90-minute class in this 3-class series will explore a theme associated with where the moon is in the sky and how the significance of the coming month might inform our practices and lives. Classes will consist of a gentle movement practice, a guided meditation, and some time to connect with each other over tea at the end of class. Space is limited, so register today!
The JCA will have blankets, blocks, bolsters, and mats available. Feel free to bring your own props if you prefer. If you are someone who likes to journal, consider bringing along a notebook.
