Rabbi David Sandmel will explore current trends in antisemitic attitudes and incidents in order to answer the question “Is anti-Semitism on the rise?”
Rabbi Dr. David Fox Sandmel is long-time interfaith activist. He has served as Director of Interreligious Engagement at ADL since 2014. From 2003-2014, he held the Crown-Ryan Chair in Jewish Studies at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. As Judaic Scholar at the Institute for Christian & Jewish Studies in Baltimore, he managed the project that produced “Dabru Emet: A Jewish Statement on Christians and Christianity.” He is an editor of Christianity in Jewish Terms and Irreconcilable Differences? A Learning Resource for Jews and Christians, and is vice-chair of the International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultation.
