Pianist Ian Scarfe welcomes violinist Ellen McGehee for a program of classical and romantic masterpieces featuring several popular and lyrical works by Kreisler, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, as well as Edvard Grieg’s tour-de-force Violin Sonata in C Minor, Op. 45.
The musicians will share stories about the composers and the history of this music, and offer a kind of “listening guide” to the audience to deepen the listening experience. They will also be on hand to take questions from the audience and participate in a live discussion afterwards.
