This course will explore the rites and rituals surrounding death and dying as well as the general questions and ideas that relate to aging. The Psalmist wrote, “Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” What does it mean to age wisely, gracefully, and to honestly face the evolving reality of our lives? We will read Wise Aging by Rabbi Rachel Cowan and Dr. Linda Thal as well as study sacred texts and ethical wills. Join Rabbi Andy Bachman for a rich and meaningful exploration of these essential issues. This is a 5-week course that will meet weekly on Thursdays at 7 PM, starting on Oct 12th and running through Nov 9th.
