On Friday, January 6 at 7:30, our congregation will celebrate a Shabbat dedicated to the ongoing struggle for civil rights. Congregant Shoshana Hoose will give a sermon about what she learned living through the integration of her all-white neighborhood near Hartford, Connecticut. We will honor former Portland legislator Gerry Talbot and other activists who fought to end housing discrimination in Maine.
