Crisis in Ukraine – You can make a difference

The strength of our community has been tested over the past several years, but we continue to be resolute in our commitment to building a better, safer, more just world. Since the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, we know many of you are looking for ways to help make a difference.

The Jewish Federation (JFNA) began working immediately last week to provide critical welfare where it is needed most, and to protect and safeguard Ukraine’s Jewish community as well as Jews in neighboring countries. If you have the capacity to help, please consider supporting the JFNA emergency campaign for Ukraine here.

Funds raised will be allocated through Jewish Federations’ core partners, The Jewish Agency for Israel, The Joint Distribution Committee and World ORT, and others who are on the ground in Ukraine.

For up to date information on the situation in Ukraine, as well the activities of Federation’s core partners on the ground, we invite you to read today’s briefing update.

In addition, our partners at HIAS are also supporting those fleeing Ukraine, and HIAS President Mark Hetfield published a wonderful piece in The Forward this week describing the need for grassroots advocacy and support to make a difference right now.

Thank you for your continued hope, commitment, and engagement as we work and pray for peace.

L’Shalom,

Molly Curren Rowles
