Join us on Wednesday mornings beginning this fall for drop-in, open play from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM in the JCA Library. Bring your set if you have one, your 2017 National Mah Jongg League card, and a brown bag lunch.

National Mah Jongg League 2018 Card Order

Every year the National Mah Jongg League creates a new set of winning hands. This year, our Mah Jongg Volunteer Chairperson Chichi Levine will be coordinating a group order of cards. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the JCA. Cards will be mailed directly to you in March. Prices for this year’s league cards will be set in October and orders will be due by December 31, 2017. Chichi will be collecting orders starting in October once the prices have been set.

Southern Maine Hillel Community Event in the “Dwelling Place” Sukkah

Students, Hillel supporters and community members are invited to join the Southern Maine Hillel for an evening of music by Rabbi Sruli Dresdner and Lisa Mayer and kosher Israeli food. Wear weather-appropriate clothes to be outside. This will be the seventh and final year of this Abromson award-winning sukkah installation which will be in place and welcoming visitors to enjoy, behind the JCA from October 1-15, 2017.
