Venue Capacity

Sam L. Cohen Community Hall - Accommodates: 150 theater style, 96 round table seating
Albert Glickman Board Room – Accommodates 20 boardroom style
Moser Family Library - Accommodates 20-25
Great Lawn Event & Activity Space – Varies based on usage and setup

Access to the Venue

Access to the venue before agreed upon rental hours is subject to availability and may incur additional fees

Venue Curfew

Standard curfew for private events is 11:00 PM. All event times must be worked out in advance of executing a rental agreement.

Audio Visual System

All rental spaces (with the exception of the lawn) are equipped with audio visual systems, including large screens or projectors.


Parking is available at the JCA parking lot and neighboring streets. We do not have an arrangement for parking in the Westgate Shopping Center, and it is posted for towing non-customers.

Room Set-Up

Placement and location of all tables and equipment must be agreed on ahead of time; room set up is included in rental fee

Alcohol Policy

Alcohol is permitted on the premises; you can bring your own or have it served by a licensed caterer supplying a valid Maine Liquor Permit. In either case, we require a copy of a valid Certificate of liquor Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000.00 coverage naming the Jewish Community Alliance as the additional insured.


Lessee shall provide a certificate of insurance from an insurance company licensed in Maine and otherwise reasonably acceptable to the Lessor, naming Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine as additional insured, evidencing public liability for bodily injury and property damage occurring on or about the Facilities and/or any portion of Jewish Community Alliance for $1,000,000.00. The certificate of insurance must be received 30 days prior to Date of Event

Deposit Policy

All events require a $500 non-refundable deposit at the time of contract signing to reserve the space.


The JCA does not require renters to use particular vendors. You may hire any caterer of your choosing; all we require is a copy of their state Caterer’s license and Certification of Liability insurance.

Handicapped Access

The JCA Facility is handicapped accessible; if an attendee is in need of special accommodations please inform us and we can apprise you of the options available.


The JCA is a non-smoking and non-vaping venue.
